My first competition ever was when I was 7 years old and was in Crawford Bay, BC. My favorite shows in Canada were the PNE, Kelowna, and Grand Prairie, Alberta. My favorite events were single bucking, double bucking, and standing block as well as the Pentathlon event in Grande Prairie. I was able to win all kinds of events all around BC( too many to count) as well as numerous All Around championship's ( at least once at most of the shows that I went to). Winning the All Around and individual events at the PNE and Squamish was always the highlight. Double bucking wins with my dad were always the best.  I was lucky enough to have worked for Wickheim Timbershow's 3  times at Sea World in the states. I have been lucky enough to have been to New Zealand and Australia at least 20 times to compete and see wood chopping  friends. I have traveled to Europe at least 45 times coached at training camps, competitions,  and done exhibitions in Denmark, Sweden, Czech Republic, Ireland, Italy, Romania, Spain, Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland, Holland, Poland, and Spain. It was always great to travel in Canada to compete and visit the family of Lumberjack sports competitors.

Carson was inducted into the STIHL Timbersports Hall of Fame in 2016.
